Andy: I decided to purchase the El Dorado 12year on a recommendation from a fellow shopper at our local Total Wine & Spirits, and wow is it good. It has a really deep, rich flavor that makes it taste amazing even straight or on the rocks. For some reason I taste the hint of raisins in it. I think it actually looses a little of its flavor when mixed with Diet Coke, which makes it one of the rare rums that taste better on its own. This is a great choice, especially at the relatively inexpensive price. I think I paid around $20 for it.
Adrian: I give this rum good props. There is hardly any bite, but just enough to let you know it has alcohol. I taste strong molasses flavor which reminds me of when my Grandmother made me Boston Brown Bread.
