Andy: For a low cost rum, this is not bad. It has a fruity aroma and by itself, you can tastes a hint of grape. Mixing with Diet Coke really masks the fruity overtones you got drinking it straight. As with most low cost alcohols, watch out for hangovers!
Adrian: Ron Cortez had a really strong alcohol flavor, I can’t really drink this rum straight. Mixed with coke makes it a decent inexpensive white rum, and would probably work out well in boat drinks on a budget.
