Andy: The Appleton Estate Reserve isn’t bad. It’s actually pretty good, it just doesn’t have the very distinctive Appleton flavor we have all grown to love. When comparing it side by side to the Appleton 12 year, it is smoother but again, has a much milder flavor. I don’t like it as much as the other Appletons, but it’s still a good rum.
Adrian: Appleton Reserve stands out against V/X, it definitely has a different flavor and goes down smoother. If you get the chance, grab a bottle of each and enjoy both for a low-cost rum tasting experience.
