Andy: This is everything I hoped it would be. Rich, thick with a nice bite. So amazingly rich and delicious I wouldn’t dare mix it with anything. Of course at over $200 a bottle (usually $250) or $30 a shot at the rare bar that you might find it in, it better be good. If you have a taste for the finer things in life and have the money to blow, this won’t disapoint. It is truly amazing. I would have given Pyrat Cask a 10 out of 10 had it been less expensive. | |||||||||||||||
Adrian: Just the color of this rum is noticably darker when compared to Pyrat XO. The aroma has less alcohol smell and is much richer. It has the texture of a fine cognac or grand marinier, and the flavor is simply wonderful, rich, smooth, and gentle. Without doubt, this is one amazing rum that’s worth experiencing at least once in your life…. certainly worth getting a few friends together to go in on a bottle if you’re unable to afford it alone. |

I finally got my hands on a bottle of this rum and I too was impressed with the experience. It smells similar to the XO but with less alcohol in the nose and much more fragrant. There are levels of orange, tropical fruit and burnt sugar that explode once it hits your toungue. Exceptionally smooth and gets sweeter and sweeter as you get nearer to the end of the shot. Its perfect in my book and worth every cent

Can’t wait to get my hands on a bottle. Sounds like a good gift to give myself on my birthday.
