| Andy: The Flor de Cana tastes a little dry with a hint of sweetness. Not bad at all mixed with Coke Zero. A decent choice for the price. Actually makes a great base for a Mojito. | |||||||||||||||

I really did not see much to this rum. It didn’t seem to have any real character to it. It is very mild, and one could use it for something, and of course no spice ! I thought the Kraken was a great sipping rum, dark color and very hearty. Quite a surprise really.
A word to the wise: If you open the rum bottle, and bang it reasonably hard for a while, toxins will escape and will remove the headache, and hang over (H2S) !.

I have decided to leave an uptake review on this rum. This rum is very smooth and pale, but is very pleasant to use as a mixer. I had no headaches, and woke up in the morning with absolutely no hangover, which makes it a great review. I would not recommend it straight, as it has a very mild taste. It is actually H2S from the fermentation, that causes all the problems.
