| Andy: This is a very dry rum. It’s a little bitter…not as bitter as Angostura rum, but still bitter. This really isn’t a rum I would choose to drink straight. Even mixing with Diet Coke doesn’t really seem to help it. I really don’t like it, especially at it’s relatively high price point. | |||||||||||||||
| Adrian: St. James Extra Old has a decent flavor. It’s a little bitter and has a little bite to it so I wouldn’t drink it straight, but it isn’t bad mixed with Diet Coke. At about $25 I think it’s a little over-priced. I might buy it again if it were in the $18 range but for that much, there are better choices out there. | |||||||||||||||
